Global car sales

Over the past 3 years, the sale of new cars in the global market has dropped significantly. In Europe and South America, new car sales were down 25 percent. In 2020, 64 million vehicles were sold worldwide. The reason for the decline in sales is the outlined recession in the global economy. The reason for the recession is the aggravation of economic and political differences between states, the impact on the world economy of the coronavirus pandemic. However, in 2021, a slight increase in car sales is expected to 70 million units, due to the gradual recovery of the economies of the leading countries. For example, in China in February 2019, only 193 thousand new cars were sold. And a year later, in February 2021, 1.162 million new cars were sold in China. This is 6 times more than in the previous year.
